UNDERCLIFFE 'Rest in Peace' DVD:

May saw the launch of a new DVD compiled, filmed and produced by David Weber of Barleybrook Digital in collaboration with Trustees Colin Clark and Reuben Davison.

It relates the history of the cemetery graphically and is a perfect companion to the book we produced in 2004. The launch took place on the 24th of April at the Bradford Industrial Museum in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Bradford Cllr Valerie Binnie, local councillors and many guests. David Weber has donated all the proceeds from the sale of the DVD to our charity for which we are most grateful.

Copies can be obtained through the charity at £ 9.99 (£ 10.50 inc p&p).

GRANT

A grant was applied for from CNET which makes money available to local organizations doing work within the community. Local councillor Howard Middleton helped and advised the charity in this matter. The grant amounted to £ 1000 to spend on tools and machinery. This purchased an electric generator and hedge trimmers which has helped the volunteers in maintaining the shrubbery and hedges! There was some money left over which went towards replacing worn and broken tools.

SAD LOSS

We were saddened by the death of one of our committee members, Mr. Colin Clayton. Colin was a Principle Officer for the Councils Public Services Dept. and was a valuable link to the council. He will be sorely missed.
